WEEKLY REFLECTION (JULY 24 - 29, 2023)

It's been seven weeks since I started my teaching practice. I completed the lesson templates in 9th standard. I had also taken 3 lesson templates in 8th standard this week. There wasn't any non academic activities taken place this week.  The highlight of the week was the official inauguration of " KALA-SAHITYA VEDI"  by Smt. Nandini (poetess and former student of Vivekananda H S for Girls, Kadampanad). The function was conducted along with the assembly. The program was graceful with the presence of Ratheesh Sir ( Teacher's association member) and other teachers. It was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. PTA president, Headmaster and Convenor of the wing addressed the function. The  school provided gifts to today's guest as a token of love. A few students presented cultural programs as a part of the event. Altogether, the week was hectic with usual school works. All programs went smoothly and systematically. WEEKLY REFLECTION ( JULY 17- 21, 2023)

Hereby, I joyfully completed the sixth week of teaching practice. Due to some public holidays and medical reasons, I got only two days this week. Monday was a public holiday, Tuesday was declared as holiday all over kerala due to the sudden demise of former Chief Minister Sri. Oommen Chandy. I had taken two days of leave due to medical reasons. In this week, I finished only two lesson templates.  The highlights of this week were the visit of my optional teacher Harsha Miss for observing my class. She has seen my class and awarded me with A grade. She commented with both positive and negative points. I had taken the area from 'Tolstoy Farm'. I used a video of Gandhiji's Tolstoy farm as entry activity. I assigned them with the task of Character tree as an activity, where students have to come forward and write one quality of good personality in a piece of paper and paste it on the character chart. WEEKLY REFLECTON (JULY 10- 14, 2023)

It was altogether a productive week and successfully completed the fifth week of teaching practice. I completed 6 lesson plans this week including one model regarding grammar. I got extra periods this week and I was able to complete the remaining textual activities.  The highlights of this week were the visit of our general teacher for observing classes. Jayalekshmi ma'am witnessed my class and she awarded with A grade. She noted both positives and negatives. The first mid term examination of the academic year has begun this week. I prepared the question paper of English and conducted the exam. A cyber cell awareness class was led by Sri. Aravindakshan Sir. It was an informative and educative session for students. I did the role of exam invigilator in various classes, provided me with an handful of experiences. I am happy that I am doing my duties properly and feeling relaxed. WEEKLY REFLECTION (JULY 3-7, 2023)

It was the fourth week of teaching practice. Overall, rainy days during this week bring a mix of advantages and challenges. As it has given two days of holidays luckily. But still, these holidays will negatively affect our teaching practice schedules. We have only half of the month is remaining to finish off the practice. With the three working days, I completed 3 lesson templates. The classes are taken with proper teaching aids, activity cards etc.. There wasn't any specific non academic activities has taken place this week. Due to heavy rain, students were mostly absent in classes. But, students in my class are always present. A few has only taken leave. I provided remedial measures of diagnostic test this week and completed the report. The weekly reflection was conducted via online. Each students shared their experience as it was conducted optional wise. WEEKLY REFLECTION ( 26 JUNE - 1 JULY, 2023)

Hereby completed the third week of teaching practise. It was a week with only four working days including Saturday. Two days was Bakrid holidays. Eventhough, I managed to complete 3 lesson plans this week. The highlights of this week was  my optional teacher came for the first visit of my class. I had taken the song "Bang the Drum" by Bryan Adams and Nelly Furtado. I used teaching aids like chart, pictures etc. Individual discourse was given due  to the time limit. She observed my class and awarded B+ grade. She commented on both positives and negatives. I was lucky enough to hear out more positives and exclaimed that I have made improvements from previous classes. I understood the areas to be taken care of next time.  By this week, I completed the writing of 30 lesson plans. I administered diagnostic test in 9th standard, 29 students attended the exam and 5 students were absent. Students were desperately sought for their marks even from the day itself.
