MINOR REASERCH PROJECT WORKSHOP

On April 17, 2023, a workshop titled "Research Project/Action Research/Case Study" was held. It was done as a part of a "Minor project"'s fourth semester practical work. At 9:30 am, the meeting got underway. Dr. G.R. Santhosh Kumar, a professor at Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College in Kottarakkara, served as the resource person. The resource person, who was the brains behind the creation of the current curriculum, was found to be the best individual to introduce the trainees to the various facets of the research project in the B.Ed. In the morning session, we talked about the theoretical aspects of creating a research project in general and the standards for choosing themes for the same in particular. The Principal gave specific directions regarding the choice of the research project topic during the afternoon session. Each trainee was required to suggest at least four subjects for the following workday. In the end, the workshop inspired me to embark

The college hosted the Community Living Camp, which was held from April 10 to April 14, 2023, and was required as a community-based practical in the B.Ed. curriculum. The name of the camp was "RRR," which stood for "Revive Rise Reflect." The topic of the camp was "Learning to Live Together." The five-day camp served as an illustration of the need to revive the splendor of solidarity in a community and to rise to consider the values that were brought into its fold. The activities planned for the camp aimed to develop the participants' interpersonal interaction abilities while creating a special harmony among them. The camp's first day was planned inside the college, and the remaining days were planned at St. Xavier's Animation Centre, Salepuram.  Our B.Ed. class of 51 people came together to make this occasion historic. Everyone was adamant about making the best of the circumstances. We notice the blatant expectations in us from the planning sta

The workshop on digital content creation was led by Dr. Naushad A. Salim Sir on March 30, 2023. The purpose of the event was to give the student instructors the tools they would need to acquire the E-Content development skills that are now required in the modern digital educational environment. Naushad Sir began by learning the fundamental digital skills necessary to produce a brief topic in doc, jpg, or pdf format. The workshop went to higher degrees of digital content generation using programmes like Poster my Wal, Merge Pdf, You Cut, A-Z screen recorder, etc. with these initial concepts as a foundation. With the aid of these apps, sir made it easier for us to comprehend the variety of applications that may be incorporated into the field of education, which is currently a necessity. After the lesson, sir instructed us to use GroupWise to create a video using a topic we had chosen from the high school textbooks.

ART AND AESTHETIC WORKSHOP

Art and Aesthetic workshop was handled by Sr. Thottam Bhuvanedran Sir. He was working as a resource person in the field of education and has plenty years of service in this sector. He was also a part of Shastra Sahitya Parishath, as a part of it, I have witnessed many of its programs. His class was mind blowing and really an asset for us.  The resource person was too particular about conveying the basic essence of the art of teaching. The primary requirements of an ideal teacher were discussed. His humorous dialogues seemed to be quite interesting and one wouldn't even have thought of getting distracted. The magical words of the person could hold a long sustaining impact on the students. Anything and everything about teaching and teacher was most eloquently dealt in the session. Students were treated most affectionately. The session was packed with constant renderings of a few lines from popular Malayalam poetry and music. The forenoon session was completely theory class. Afternoon

WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATION: MARCH 8

Image
The college union organized womens day program at college seminar hall. The program was officially inaugurated by    Mrs Lekha L.K., an athlete and physical educator. Yet another peculiarity was that the guest was the mother of the physical education trainer, Mr Nibin Babu. The official function was carried out in forenoon session.  The afternoon session was even more exciting as there was a short demonstration on the self defence mechanism by the martial arts trainer, Mr Hanshi R. Gopakumar. Also, the day marked its end with a very pompous flash mob and a worthwhile performance of mime on the public road. In between, a short duration was dedicated for the celebration of 'Holi' as well. I was a part of the dance program and got good comments over the collective  performance of students. Altogether, the day was celebrated with immense joy.
