WEEKLY REFLECTION (JAN 30- FEB 3, 2023)

 









It was the 6th week of teaching teaching practice. I am personally feeling satisfied about my journey till the day. This week went in a full-fledged condition according to my plans. In 8th standard, I completed the whole lesson plans of 'The School for Sympathy' and in the following days, I completed the remaining textual activities. I started the next chapter ' The Merchant of Venice' and completed 3 lesson plans in this week. Regarding 9th standard, I have given notes concerning 'A Prayer in Spring'. I have taken 2 ICT based lesson templates on the chapter 'The Trio'. Students were interestingly attended the class in a new manner. They all taken part in the activities related to the chapter. I also premiered the movie of the chapter ' The Happiness Machine'.

The school has conducted Junior Red Cross certificate level examination. On Feb 1st, students from 9 A conducted the school assembly under the guidance of we four teacher trainees. We were training them for past few days. It was a completely remarkable program hosted by the students. Students incorporated all items like prayer, pledge, speech, thought, group song, quiz, newspaper reading, HM's keynote, birthday song, national anthem etc. Almost all students equally participated in the programs. In Quiz, we asked them to present in 'Koodeswaran' model. Students awesomely presented it. It involved a quiz master, a participant and manikutti. It was bit entertaining too. News reading also presented with a news reader and a reporter, also used background sounds for effect. They incorporated advertisements to make it colorful. It was the first time the school were witnessing such a assembly. I felt really proud and satisfied by hearing appreciation from teachers and students. I would certainly give all the applause to my smart kids.

It was the fourth week of teaching practice. Overall, rainy days during this week bring a mix of advantages and challenges. As it has given two days of holidays luckily. But still, these holidays will negatively affect our teaching practice schedules. We have only half of the month is remaining to finish off the practice. With the three working days, I completed 3 lesson templates. The classes are taken with proper teaching aids, activity cards etc.. There wasn't any specific non academic activities has taken place this week. Due to heavy rain, students were mostly absent in classes. But, students in my class are always present. A few has only taken leave. I provided remedial measures of diagnostic test this week and completed the report. The weekly reflection was conducted via online. INNOVATIVE WORK

The innovative work undertaken by me is a newspaper "The Happiness Express". I took the content of a prose "The Trio" and presented it to the students in a novel way. I crafted a newspaper by sticking to the theme and content of the chapter . I crafted such a newspaper by keeping in mind the objectives like information , education, interpretation ,inspiration, providing discussion forum and entertainment. I segmented 6 pages with local news, international news, sports pages, editorial page, and common information . I tried to frame the news paper similar to the structure and pattern of real newspaper. H.H.M.M.II Training College, Adoor organized sports day on 21st July 2022. Both indoor and outdoor games were incorporated as events like carroms, chess, shuttle run relay, skipping, badminton and yoga competition. First three prizes of each event were noted and the points were distributed to three houses. Each student have to participate atlesat in one event. Each and everyone actively enaged in all the events. Amidst of the busy academics, it was indeed a leisure day.
