DIAGNOSTIC AND ACHIEVEMENT TEST WORKSHOP

On 28th January 2023, Saturday, we gathered together in the college auditorium for diagnostic and achievement test workshop and teaching practice reflection. The workshop was led by Dr. Issac Paul sir from Govt. College of Teacher Education. It was really a valuable session for all of us. Instead of focusing completely on Diagnostic and Achievement test, sir tried to cover major aspects of the B.Ed Course. We felt each sentence of him as precious and useful for us to succeed in B.Ed courses. Sir also showed us an example of achievement test and Diagnostic test. As part of the curriculum, we have to construct an achievement test to evaluate the achievements of our students. Before that, we have to do a diagnostic test. Some of our students including me could conduct the exam before itself. Sir instructed us how to prepare question in all these areas.

Along with the workshop, we had also a reflection session of the teaching practice. Aleena Aliyar from Pannivisha High School and Vidya from St Mary's H.S Adoor and Alka M Saju from St. Thomas H S Kadampanadu shared their experiences of the week. Aleena highlighted the poor economic backgrounds of students that hinder them from learning better. From her observation, we need to address te situation of the students first before going further. Other students also shared their teaching reflection experiences. After the session, we were asked to meet our respective teachers to get advice for our lesson plans.
