  As part of B.ed curriculum, student trainees have to undergo a phase of teaching practice at schools for two months. Today was the first day of teaching practice. I am doing teaching practice at Vivekananda H S for Girls, Kadampanad along with three other teacher trainees. I am dealing with the subject English. We reached on time at school. We attended the morning assembly. As today was celebrated as Children's Day, the assembly was conducted in accordance with the importance of the day. The beginning was fresh and colorful. My assigned class was 9.A. In the first period itself, I got a chance to interact with my students under substitution. I made a good rapport with them. They all are vibrant and responsive to me. They enquired about my personal details, it was actually fun. Later, I got 5th period to take my first class. I started my first class with the prose: The Last Leaf by O. Henry. I strictly followed the steps in lesson plan. In order to draw the attention of students,

  An educational tour was organized by the college. It's a matter of pleasure that about 48 teacher-trainees went on the tour. The destinations were Coorg and Bengaluru. That was a 5 days' tour (06/11/2022 to 10/11/2022). The journey by the tourist bus began in the evening of 06/11/2022. The return journey ended by the noon of 10/11/2022. The tour was planned properly and things went as planned! The journey gifted a pleasurable experience to me. There was fun abundantly. It was a joyful experience with lots of unforgettable memories.

  A day that observed novelty by celebrating the vintage, this Freshers' day 2022-24 turned into a remarkable one. That which went by the title "Gunapadam 2K22," the event was really a fascinating one. Celebrating the theme of 'Vintage' the freshers were all required to dress up in vintage outfits. The way they were welcomed to the hall was rather amusing! The power-packed performance of the senior batch at the college deserves huge appreciation. On the whole, the day turned to be a good one.

  Kerala Piravi Day was celebrated in our college on Novemeber 1st 2022. It was hosted by us, second years of the college. The specialty about the event is it is the first program celebrated altogether by juniors and seniors. Within a short span of time, we planned and executed a variety of programs. 

  As prescribed for EDU-07,  Perspectives of Learning and Teaching , a Capacity Building Programme was organized in the college auditorium on 27 October 2022.   For this, the class was divided into seven groups and each group had to organize two activities on stress management. The Capacity Building Programme was actually a workshop for ‘Stress Management.’ I could be a part of the second group which comprised eight members.      Each group came up with certain activities that involved stress-free procedures. The techniques used in the activities were all related to stress management in one way or the other. While some groups introduced activities that made use of psychological remedies for stress management, other groups came up with games that helped the players to release their stress. Presentations on stress management before the beginning of each activity ensured the objective of the workshop. The conclusion after each activity showed the relevance of that particular activity.   D

  A Capacity Building Programme, based on EDU-06:   Education in Indian Society , was  organized in the college auditorium on 26 October 2022 from 10:30 am to 4:15 pm. The  programme intended to develop the capacity pertaining to ‘life skills.’ The capacity  building programme was successful in helping the trainees to promote their idea on the  concept of life skills. It helped in creating in them awareness about the various life skill  practices that become handy in the day-to-day life. For the Capacity Building Programme,  the trainees were divided into seven groups. Each group was assigned specific life skill  practices as topics. I could be a part of the second group, the topic of which was ‘Creative  Thinking’ and ‘Critical Thinking.’             The activities on ‘Creative Thinking’ focused on illustrating the individual differences, divergent thinking and uniqueness of individuals. The College Sports Day was held on 22 October 2022. The day went by the title 'Kratos 2K22.' T he term Kratos refers to the God of power and strength. Being a day that demanded extreme dedication, focus, strength, diligence, patience and perseverance, the title seemed appropriate for the day. The planning for the day was made systematically as the teacher trainees were grouped into certain committees and were assigned particular duties. The committees included programme committee, official committee, technical committee, announcement committee, first aid committee, food and refreshment committee, ground and equipment committee, finance and purchasing committee. As evident from the names of the committees, the members in each committee had to perform specific roles for the proper organization of the events of the day. The events included running race- 100 m, 200 m, 400 m and 800 m, shot-put, discus-throw, javelin-throw and relay- 4×100 m. The events were all meant as house wise

  Criticism class were organized in H.H.M.M. II Training College, Adoor on 18th October 2022. The classes were arranged as two phases in two days. Students from St. Mary's Girls HS were invited to our college. Criticism classes were started by 10. 30 AM. The first class was taken by Fr. Jibin Sabu. Other class members observed and evaluated the peers class. It gave others the opportunity to improve certain areas while they take. The first class in the afternoon session was taken by me. I took the Direct instruction model. I incorporated the usage of charts as teaching aids in the classroom. I dealt with the topic Question tags. Students were also incorporative and they responded actively to the questions. Before entering the phase of teaching practice, it was an opportunity to take such a class and realize the areas to improve. In the first day, 7 students completed the criticism session and the next day, others took the class.

Demonstrations lessons of Advance Organiser, Concept attainment and activity based were taken in the college on 17th October 2022. Classes of two models were taken by the student trainees from Mount Tabor Training college. Model of activity based were taken by our optional teacher. It was an innovative and interesting class.

Inauguration Meeting of New B.Ed batch of H.H.M.M. II Training College, Adoor, was conducted on September 22, Thursday at the collage auditorium. It was also an orientation programme for the new students. The meeting was started with a prayer song by the college choir. It was followed by the thought of the day presentation of Rev. Fr. Binson P George. Then, college principal Mrs. Nimmi Varghese welcomed everyone who gathered in the meeting. Inaugural message was delivered by Rev. Fr K.P. Mathews Plavilayil (Adoor- Kadampanad Diocese Secretery). Ms. Anna S Varghese sang a melodious Hindi song. It was followed by the thought provoking message by Rev. Fr. John Thomas (Office Manager, Seryas Aramana, Adoor) and Dr. Sam V Daniel (Retd. Principal, Mount Tabor Training College). Rev. Fr. Jibin Sabu and Mr. G Roy (Principal, B.M.M.
