75th INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION- DAY 2

Today, our college celebrated the 75th Independence day of India. At 9 AM, the programs kicked off with flag hoisting at the ground. The official function started at 10.00 AM with morning prayer. The college choir singed a beautiful patriotic song. Later, a group of students perfomed a skit portraying the clutches faced by Bharat mata and the present scenario of our country from political perspective. Competitions were started by 10.30 AM. Members of three houses actively participated in all events. Three patriotic songs were performed from three houses. Then, Extempore taken place. The most power packed event of the day was fancy dress. Around 15 students participated in this event. I played the role of Lakshmi Bhai, Jhansi ki Rani. I dressed like her and it was amazing. I secured second prize. Notable Independence fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Mangal Pandey, Begum Hazrat, Bal Gangadar Tilak, Velu Thampi Dalawa were presented on stage by many students. Each house presented a tableau on the basis of Independence and India. Teachers judged each perfomance and announced the winners at last. Altogether, Green house secured the overall position.
